Welcome to the Coaldale Granite Club
Season Update:
- With the holiday season now upon us, the Coaldale Granite Club is taking a moment to look back on a fantastic first half of the curling season. We're thrilled to report numerous positive developments, and we look forward to the excitement the new year will bring to the ice.
- Men's League - Although we’ve seen a slight drop in the number of teams in the league, those participating are having a great time. Crucially, we're noticing increased parity among teams, which bodes well for competitive play and positive developments moving forward. There are still players not registered, so please do so prior to the Christmas break! Register here
- Ladies League - The League continues to thrive, firmly holding steady with ten registered teams. We are pleased to observe that despite the varied skillsets across the league, the emphasis remains on fostering a wonderful social experience and ensuring fun for every participant week after week.
- McDonalds Junior Curling continues to roll on and we're looking forward to some awesome things happening in in the near future. The weekend of January 24th we'll be hosting interclub play, in combination with Hit Draw Tap event that is promoted by Curling Alberta & Curling Canada for ages 6-12. The winners from our event will have the opportunity to attend the provincial finals in Red Deer on February 28th.
- There are still players in each league not yet not registered and paid, so please do so prior to the Christmas break! Register here
- This years Christmas Bonspiel will take place Dec 27 & 28 with lots of fun, prizes and cash up for grabs. Register here
Join us on January 2nd from 6:00–8:00 pm for a special “TRY Curling” event! This session is designed to welcome new curlers to the club and introduce them to the sport in a fun, supportive environment. It’s a fantastic opportunity to bring the whole family and enjoy hands-on instruction from our dedicated volunteers. Register here
